Paying in from an M-Pesa wallet
M-Pesa is how most Kenyan traders fund an account, and it is also where the surprises live: a broker that takes it for deposits may not pay out the same way.
9 of 10 brokers accept it · cheapest is Deriv at $5
Deposits are held in dollars. Whatever you pay with — bank transfer, a wallet or a card — the provider converts at its own rate on the day.

Payout is the share of a winning fixed-time contract the broker pays back. A broker with no regulator in the table is not unlicensed by accident — we looked and found nothing.
Methodology
- 01Read the deposit pageThe minimum deposit is taken from the broker's own funding page, not from a review site, and re-read on the check date.
- 02Record the minimum tradeThe smallest amount the platform will accept into one position — a different number from the deposit, and the one that decides how long your money lasts.
- 03Look the licence up in the registerThe regulator and number come from that regulator's public register. Where there is nothing to find, the table says “none found” rather than naming a body that has not licensed the broker.
- 04Leave out what we cannot verifyNo shilling conversions, no per-broker payment matrix, no deposit speeds we did not measure. A number on this page is one we can point at a source for.

One trade
A fixed-time contract pays a set percentage on a win and takes the whole stake on a loss, so the break-even win rate is above half at every payout below 100%. This is arithmetic about the contract, not a forecast about you.
Paying in
We do not publish a broker-by-broker list of accepted methods. Processors are switched on and off without notice, and a table that is right in October is wrong by December — the deposit screen of the broker is the only reliable source. Open it before you register: it names every method available to a Kenyan account today.
Q&A
Deriv, Pocket Option and Bubinga at $5. Most of the rest start at $10, and BinaryCent is the outlier at $250. Move the budget slider at the top of the page to see who accepts your amount.
No, and the difference matters. The deposit is what you must pay in to open the account; the minimum trade is the smallest amount you can put into one position. A $5 account at a $0.35 minimum trade is 14 trades, not one.
Accounts are held in dollars. Whether you pay by bank transfer, a wallet or a card, the payment provider converts shilling at its own rate on the day, which is not the official rate. We do not publish shilling equivalents for that reason.
We deliberately do not publish that as a table. Processors are turned on and off without notice, and a list that is correct today misleads in two months. Open the broker's deposit screen — it shows what a Kenyan account can use right now.
Some brokers charge nothing, others charge per method or take a percentage. It is the single most expensive detail to get wrong, so check it on the broker's own withdrawal page before you fund the account.
No. The Capital Markets Authority does not license fixed-time (binary) trading in Kenya. The table shows the foreign regulator and number we could find in a public register, and says plainly where there is none.
